Technician & Assistant Services

Fill the gaps in your support staff!

YNV’s Relief Technicians and Assistants can help your clinic operate how you want it to when you have staff out on leave, have an open position, or simply need an extra pair of trained hands for the day. Just like our DVMs, our Relief Technicians and Assistants are our employees, so you can count on consistency where it is wanted and needed.

All of our employees go through a rigorous screening and interviewing process, so you can be assured that you receive a high quality temporary team member. All YNV Relief Assistants and Technicians must meet the following requirements to become part of our team.

  • Minimum of 2 years (LVTs) or 3 years (Assistants) of clinical experience in the field in which they will be placed (e.g. if you need an LVT for GP surgery services, you will receive an LVT with a minimum of 2 years of GP surgery experience.)
  • Passing thorough reference and criminal background checks, so you can rest assured that your patients, clients, team, and resources are in good hands.
  • The ability to adapt to the workflow and protocols of the clinics where they will work
  • Possess excellent communication skills and a drama-free attitude
  • Hold a valid State Credential for your position if applicable (such as LVT, CVT).*
  • Covered under Your Neighbor Vet’s liability and worker’s comp policies, providing further protection for your hospital

*Vet Assistants in WA must hold a valid Veterinary Medication Clerk license.
